Fabulous Marbella!

A taste of your stay and postoperative recovery in beautiful Marbella

The old part of Marbella (Casco Antiguo) is especially beautiful with lots of pretty walks and quiet places to eat out. Yet the bustle of the beach and promenade is no more than 5 minutes walk from the Old Town.

For me this provided the perfect compromise between peace and activity, which along with the everlasting sunshine, makes it a joy to recover from surgery in such surroundings.

Travel and appointments

The journey from Malaga airport to Marbella takes about 45 minutes and provides a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the scenery. If you have purchased our travel package, then our driver will meet you at the Airport and take you to your hotel in Marbella or 5 star Hospital Banus, or to us at the NEST.

Taxis are readily available and the charge is around 80 euros. Alternatively you may wish to travel by the direct airport bus to Marbella which is around 9 euros!, for more information please click here

Postoperative recovery

Marbella presents idyllic surroundings in which to begin your postoperative recovery. Peace and seclusion as desired, then so many beautiful sights to see once we start feeling better. This combined with Marbella’s wonderfully pleasant climate makes the whole experience even more favourably memorable.

The market in neighbouring Puerto Banus is well worth a visit and is possibly one of the largest street markets I have shopped in. Lots of authentic and not so authentic bargains will spring before your eyes. I loved the clothes and costume jewellery and of course spent far too many euros!

The beautifully green Alameda Park is just a short walk from the old town and the beach is just two minutes away.

Safety, skills, organisation, location and cost, all highlight the excellence of the Gender Team experience.

I look forward to welcoming our many future patients to Marbella :)

This video sums up the true spirit of Marbella and the joyous Spanish people.
